Arete is a workout tracker built around one question: did you lift more than last time?

Progress is one thing: more than last time.

Most tracking apps hand you a wall of numbers and leave the thinking to you. Arete does the opposite. It watches your top set on every exercise and tells you plainly whether you beat your last session, in weight, then reps, then sets.

Weight is stored in kilograms and never distorted when you switch units. Your history stays yours. Nothing is shared unless you choose to post it. No ads, no feeds full of strangers, no data sold.

How it works

Three steps, from an empty gym floor to a clear answer.

1

Build a workout

Pick exercises from a library of over two hundred, or add your own. Group them into a template like Push Day and reorder them however you train.

2

Log your sets

Start a session and enter each set as you go. Arete fills in last time's numbers so you always know the bar to clear, and your workout survives interruptions.

3

See if you beat it

Finish, and Arete tells you exactly which lifts improved. Every exercise gets a trend chart, so progress stops being a feeling and becomes a fact.

Arete is the Greek word for excellence.

Not a streak to protect. A standard to meet, one session at a time.
